In passing. Implicite learning.

Have you ever wondered whether we're cool because we have nice friends, or maybe it is other way round: we are so cool and because of that we attract cool people? Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Definitely let me know if you know the answer ;). Jak znacie odpowiedź, koniecznie dajcie mi znać;) No matter if you are great and you attract similar people or if you were just lucky to meet unique friends, it all boils down to the fact that we always learn something from each...

Harmony. Work – life balance or work –life integrity ?

Balance in fashion is really important for me. Usually I choose one expressive element and I add toned base as a background. Today I chose sensual high split pencil skirt by Atelier Edith which exposes leg in a seductive way. The rest is less flamboyant - oversized, warm sweater and beige accessories that almost “blend into” my skin. An oversized sweater and elegant, "office" skirt? Sweater is perfect for the current “sweater weather”  (what you can...

How to wear bell/ trapeze dress ?

Bell dress – it’s for romantics, this in A - line- for minimalists and trapeze dress - for fans of mathematics and classics;) It all comes down to the fact that this dress is widening from the shoulders to the hem. The history of trapeze dress begins in the fashion house Dior - when the designer decided to create an outfit in a  shape of the letter A and thus departed from strong emphasizing the waist. Such cuts were heavily promoted by Polish La Mania. Victoria Beckham also took a liking to this cut. I’m not surprised because once she said: ” I dress sexily – but not in an obvious way. Sexy in a virginal way.” I think I would describe this dress exactly like that...

5 tricks to make your legs look longer in ankle boots

Low-heel ankle boots are one of the most comfortable types of shoes for autumn. They are warm and comfortable, but rarely they look exceptionally. If you have high heel ankle boots then your legs get additional cm( it’s such  a clever trick ;) ), otherwise legs don’t always look favorably. But it doesn’t mean that your legs have to look bad ;) Here are some of my tips :)   Botki na niskim obcasie to jeden z najwygodniejszych typów obuwia na jesień.

Upside down. Do you have something of a freak? ;)

Is there something you know you do differently than others? E.g. to slice bread from right to the left , not from left to the right? I  do that. My friends are surprised when they see that. It’s probably because I’m left-handed. My friend peels banana from the bottom ,not from the top (Greetings to Joanna!),which is extremely strange for me. My other friend when she is eating Delicje  ( cakes similar to Jaffa Cakes ,which you probably know better)  she only eats a sponge and she doesn’t eat jelly part, which amazes me, because I start with jelly part  and I don’t eat a sponge. What quirks do you have? Or maybe you know some "freaks"? ;). Don’t be afraid to confess me your quirks because someone once said:...

Coco Chanel Essentials

If you read my blog, probably you noticed  quotes of  Coco Chanel or references to her main principle "less is more". It’s true, I love drawing inspiration from various fashion trends, and a lot of things inspire me, but my roots are strongly embedded in the style created by divine Gabrielle Chanel (It’s her real name). I recently re-watched a movie about life of Chanel and it inspired me to take a closer look to the key elements of Coco’s style. The  current offer of  fashion house Chanel for me is a bit more flashy, too, "seasonal" but of course in new collections we can see the spirit of old  Chanel (jackets, tweed, quilted chain shoulder bags), but I remain faithful to what suits me - the elegant minimalism;)   Jeśli czytasz mój...

Little white dress

It’s much less popular than a little black dress. But is it less interesting? Not for me. A little white dress - next to a little black and red dress, is a choice that it is always good for me. In summer, we were almost flooded by lacy, idyllic, embroidered white dresses. I showed  you dress like this in THIS POST. Recently ,little white dress displaces more popular sister and it even conquersred carpets. Do we have to forget about little white dress in autumn ? Not necessarily. All you have to do is just wear it in a slightly different way, add autumnal accessories and voila - a little white dress can be worn throughout the year:) Znacznie mnie popularna od małej czarnej. Czy mniej interesująca? Nie dla mnie....

Sweater weather

One of the reasons  why I like autumn is the fact that I can  wear warm sweaters. I think it's one of the most malleable  clothes. As far  as dresses are usually quite specific and they impose us a particular style of accessories that fit to them,  sweaters have infinite possibilities which depend on what we combine them with. Sweater in my today's makeover I have already worn in several ways, and I think I still can create some more outfits with it.

Am  I  going to tell you the recipe for a bed of roses in my today’s post? Unfortunately I have to disappoint you;) Of course I know some psychological tricks that make life easier, but today I’m going to focus on flowers. Is there anyone who doesn’t like flowers? I can’t decide what type of flowers I like the most, because so many of them are incredible. Lilies seduce me with their scent, hydrangeas and peonies with their delicateness, orchids are noble and perfect, sunflowers are so optimistic, lilies of the valley and daisies are innocent .Gerard de Nerval ( who...

Fashion (and not only) lives and breathes a change

Recently on my blog you could see eye-catching paisley pattern and today you can seeintense orange colour. Has anything changed ?! ;) Karl Lagerfeld believes that "fashion lives and breathes a change," and I think that there is something about it. Over the last decade  (or even two;)) I definitely didn’t revolutionize my wardrobe and I still like things that I liked few years ago. But I like these small changes which allow me to evolve and find myself again. In psychology, change is needed to develop yourself. Without change there is no development. Heraclitus, an ancient thinker, defined change as a one of the elementary laws governing the nature.
